AWW: A Web Whiteboard
Things I like:
1. Many colors and there are different pencil widths
2. You can directly TWEET, post to FACEBOOK, or post to REDDIT.
3. You can insert text into your drawing.

Things I don't like:
1. There is only pencil, a spray can and marker (or paint) should be added.
2. A bucket option should also be added, to fill in closed spaces. There should be more, different, pencil width sizes.
3.You should be able to insert images into your whiteboard drawing.
4. I would also suggest online synchronized drawing (with friends).

Ways I could use AWW:
1. To explain stuff to my friends when I've got a computer but not a pen.
2. Just for fun, to draw stuff.

Present.me
Things I like:
1. It is an innovative way of showing a PowerPoint and presenting it orally and visually at the same time.
2. You can upload your presentations so that other people can see them at different times.
3. There is a free monthly plan for people in which you can upload 3 presentations per month.

Things I don't like:
1. There is no language categorizing when exploring presentations so you might go into one and it is in Italian.
2. That present.me accepts presentations in which there is only a single slide; it really is boring.
3.That there are options to create a presentation with ONLY audio or ONLY slides, the purpose of the tool is lost.

Ways I could use present.me
1. To create school presentations so I don't have to present them in class, but there is a visual and oral explanation of it.
2. To explore and learn about different subjects with a person explaining different slides.

Linux

What I know
I know that Linux is a free operating system, such as Windows or Mac OS. I also know that anyone can download it for free and that most computers can run on Linux as well as Windows (or even Mac OS) at the same time. This is done by choosing the system you would like when starting the computer. I think this is called multiplatform computers. I know that its symbol/identity is a penguin.

Questions
1. Is Linux better than Windows? than Mac OS?
2. How does Linux's CEO win financially if it is a free operating system?
3. Are there multiple viruses for computers running on Linux? (as it is for Windows) Or are these a tiny amount (like Mac OS)?
4. Why is Linux's symbol a penguin?

1. The Penguin is named Tux and it is the Linux symbol because Linus Torvalds was fond of penguins. He made a contest and then told the participants that he liked penguins.
2. Linux virus protection is better and cheaper than Windows'.
3. Linux Desktop manipulation is much more flexible and 'free' without barely any locks and restrictions. (like Windows)
4. Linux is much better than Windows 8 for gaming.
5. Linux is the only operating system of the above that is free.
6. Updates to Linux occur every 6 - 9 months, while Windows takes 5 years and Mac OS 2 years. Also, Linux's updates are free while both Windows and Mac charge for their updates.
7. In Linux, as in Mac OS, you can have multiple desktops, something that Windows does not let you.
8. Linux can run on any platform, from mobile devices to supercomputers. Mac and Windows cannot.
9. Linux is like Mac, malware is practically unheard of.
10. Linux, since it is free, primarily wins money from investments.
11. There are 863 known malware viruses for Linux.

CONCLUSION:
Windows sucks.
This connects to my life because now I have been convinced that Linux is not as lame as I thought. I have been so persuaded that I might even download it. Also, I now see that you can make money from free stuff (which might help spark something in the future). If I ever create something, I now have decided that I'll too create a contest and tell the contestants what I am fond of, whatever that might be at whichever time it might be. Linux was created with the user in mind, with all its versatility and flexibility, so the user feels comfortable with whatever (s)he establishes.

More Questions:
I am still not too sure how Linux makes so much money. How?
There are many other operating systems. Why was Linux so successful?

My GPA: 3.8444...
I need to raise my GPA to enter either the CIT, MIT, Berkeley or the UNC. I will need to work harder, but also the PreAPs will help me get in, since they are harder. 

REFLECTION

I have learned that I could be accepted in many colleges, but if I would like to go to MIT I will need to have a perfect 4 GPA. I also learned that public schools have half or even a third of a price for residents of that state. I did not know that the University of North Carolina offered bioengineering and that the CIT existed. I now know that CIT is one of the best options for me. Also, I learned that the CIT requires a higher SAT than MIT.

This motivates me to work harder to achieve a better GPA, and to eventually get high SAT scores since I now know that I am missing just a bit to reach the GPA admission of most colleges.

Google 20% Day 2

Ms. Shawn, I have been unable to anything on any of the Google Days, since the program won't download, and although I downloaded Mosync at home and brought it on a USB, but it still didn't work. I asked of help, but it still didn't work. So, what should I do?
